Is there a way to control google map direction draggin?

Basically when i try to drag the path it gets very messed up! Sections of it are correct but other sections are just a path going round it self. I am wandering if i can delete portion of the path calculated by google.|||no way to fix it beyond getting a better computer and internet, either or.
