Funny - directions given by google map!!?

Ok go to www.google.co.uk

Click on "maps"

Click on "get directions"

Enter "New York" into the left hand side bar, and "Paris, France" into the right hand side bar.

Then on the right hand side scroll down and read instruction number 24!!

Funny!!

I very much doubt anyone would succeed in doing this!!|||Cute. Just for a lark, put in St. John's, Newfoundland as your starting point. For some reason, Google Maps thinks that the only place to swim the Atlantic from is in Boston, when the obvious place to do it from would be from Newfoundland. Go figure...|||NO it is step#21

|||I bet with a little help someone could!!

It's good to see people on the intrawebs (ie Google, etc) have a sense of humor.|||Not AGAIN

why not search and see how many times this has been posted before sticking it up again

And what is your question?????

.

.|||hahahahahahahahhaha am loving that!!!!|||"24 -- Swim across the Atlantic Ocean -- 3,462 mi"

Yes, the joke is on Google! If you view their map and zoom out, you will see that their route does not even follow the Great Circle route from New York City to Le Havre, so the are taking their swimmers hundreds of nautical miles out of their way!|||This has been posted sooooooooooooooooooooo soooooooooooooo many times. But.. I guess that's cause it's funny!|||It was funnier when I first saw this question months ago.|||yes its getting very old now, but it is quite funny

After all, the directions would still be wrong if they said head off to JFK airport and catch a plane etc etc, so what other options do they have? Technically it should say get on a boat, but that is a presumption, just as being able to swim that far is.|||I think I might try doing number 24!
